Bang Kao Hotels - Koh Samui, Thailand

Bang Kao Beach is a beautiful white sand beach, around four kilometres in length, in a very quiet and mostly undeveloped area. This is an ideal location for total relaxation in a lovely unchanging environment, but the area outside Hotels and Resorts, provides little opportunity for quality Shopping, entertainment or Nightlife.

The local Town, Ban Bang Kao is in the middle of the Bay with some facilities and a night market in the evening. Going anywhere does need transport to be organised, but Bicycles, Scooters and Cars can be rented and taxis are available for trips to the Water Falls, Mountain and other features of the Southern Coast.

For shopping and nightlife, the East coast resorts of Lamai and Chaweng have everything you need, all within a thirty minute drive from the Resort. Sightseeing and Cultural visits can be arranged at your resort and are outlined in our Tours and Travel Guides section.

Located in the South coast of Samui, Bang Kao is around 30 minutes drive from the Port Town of Na Thon to the North West and Samui Airport to the North East. Flights are readily available from most major Thai cities and some Asian international flights, including Singapore and Hong Kong.

Hotel and Resorts in the area are mostly in the four and five star category, focussed on total relaxation in idyllic beach and tropical scenery. Our recommendations are shown below.
