Bophut Introduction

Bophut is a white sandy beach lined with Coconut Palms stretching for three kilometres along the sheltered coastline. The beach is known for its calm waters and lovely scenery and seems to have achieved an excellent balance for those who want to enjoy entertainment occasionally, but need plenty of peace and quiet, to relax.
About Bophut

Around the centre of Bophut Beach is the Fishermans Village, with its well preserved wooden Chinese shop-houses, blending in with more modern building styles. The area was originally developed for the Fishing Fleet, but now it’s more common for Speedboats, Dive boats and Ferries to be seen at the local Pier.
Here is a good place for shopping, with Boutiques selling clothing, with Jewellery, Gift Shops and many excellent Restaurants, Bars and Clubs. Dive shops sell Scuba training courses and Travel Agents promote trips to the nearby Island, Koh Pha Ngan, famous for its Full Moon festival. Others promote Jeep rides inland to secret spots, Elephant rides among the tropical Forest, Jet Skis, Kayaks, small Yachts or even Sea Fishing with the locals.
Bophut Location
Bophut Beach is located on the North East coast of Samui, just fifteen minutes drive from the Samui International Airport and five hundred kilometres from Bangkok. During the South West Monsoon period, from April to September, Bophut Beach is a popular anchorage for Yachts and larger boats.
