Lamai Beach Hotels - Koh Samui, Thailand
Lamai Beach Introduction

Lamai Beach is quieter and less hectic than Chaweng, but maintains its popularity with tourists as a beach resort and for the diverse range of amenities, accommodation and shopping, available throughout the day and evening. The area is bordered by lush jungle, with secluded bays and white sand beaches. Lamai is a great place to just stroll along the beach or the main entertainment strip and enjoy the sights, or to visit the Temples, Spas and rock formations in nearby areas.
About Lamai Beach

Although the second largest area on Samui, Lamai has slightly older and cheaper facilities, with numerous tourist sites to explore and a very relaxed holiday style to enjoy. Lamai is also a working and living Thai village for its locals. Here you can see the old-style wooden houses built on stilts, with its own cottage industry providing locally grown fruit, grocery items and basic services for tourists, from outside their homes.
Nightlife in Lamai is full of beer bars and other entertainment styles, with its regular ex-pats mixing amiably with the tourists. The Beaches are excellent and also great for families, with facilities for children, good swimming pools and safe beach fronts.
Lamai Beach Location
Lamai Beach is located on the South East coast of Samui, just twenty minutes drive from the Airport and 500 kilometres from Bangkok. Travel direct to the Airport from numerous Thai and Asian cities or take a bus or Train to Suratthani on the mainland and a Ferry from its Pier at Donsak, to the Port of Na Thon on Samui.
